MK5 1.6 FSI engine stuttering/miss-fire ā 08-11-2008, 10:08 PM. There appears to be a common problem with the 1.6 04 Golf FSI where the engine sometimes stutters/splutters usually at motorway speeds or navigating roundabouts. When the engine is turned off for a couple of minutes and then restarted the problem disappears for while.

Cant you visually inspect for damage before paying out, although when doing these types of jobs & part being looked at is heavily suspected as being at fault & if its not expensive, of which Ā£35 isn't, I tend to have it handy to swap across then & there.
Abad mass airflow sensor can leave your Audi A3ās engine running rough, or even inoperable. A MAF sensor measures the density of the air entering the intake manifold. It passes this information onto your A3ās ECU. The ECU uses this information along with other sensor data to control the amount of fuel that enters the combustion chamber.
AudiA3 2.0 FSI Automatic trans 2005 done 58,000 Went to Audi to get a diagnostic done but they found no faults with the gearbox via the ECU, i have also used my ODB via torque to check and nothing comes up. Audi wants to go on a explorer mission to find the issue which is going to cost Ā£Ā£$$Ā£Ā£$.

SOURCE: Audi A3 2001 radiator fan ruuning all of the time. yeah try to change the is busted. normally, most of the late-model cars comes with a fan feature that turns of after 5 or 10 mins even after switching off the engine. this helps to cool down first the engine to reach its desirable temperature
