Based on the 890 Adventure R, the 901 Expedition has upgraded suspension with a more intense focus on off-road riding than the Norden, but with a more tour-friendly approach than the Adventure R. In comparison, the adjustable seat height on the 890 Adventure can be set as low as 825mm, and the seat lowering kit can reduce that to 800mm. The seat itself is a two-seater layout. KTM claim a maximum range of 450km, or 279 miles, from the 20-litre fuel tank, in front of which is the same kind of integrated fairing as used on the 890 Adventure.
Been riding bikes on and off road for over 30 years and honestly donât feel the 890 is lacking for power anywhere. Although I am 45 and spank the younger guys on 450âs on my 04â TE 250 so itâs not always about more power. Not saying you shouldnât modify, just saying donât go chasing dyno numbers.

JimTid said: Had a 2021 890 adventure S. Traded it for a 2023 890S. The fairing, TFT and windscreen are better. It's a good fit for me at 5'8". If you are in the 6 ft range I suggest you consider the R model. The buffeting is gone and the sand coming up the fork tunnel are gone.
